Privacy Policy

The website at praxday.com and the Praxday beta waitlist are operated by Praxday, operated by its founder in Ontario, Canada. In this policy, “Praxday”, “we” and “us” mean that operator.

Praxday’s founder is the person responsible for privacy compliance (the “privacy officer” under Quebec law). You can reach them for any privacy question or request at privacy@praxday.com. General questions go to hello@praxday.com.

Praxday is a daily brief that shows professionals how to use AI in their work. Today the public website is a marketing page with a beta waitlist, and the product itself is an iPhone app in private beta. Email delivery of the daily brief is planned but not live. Where this policy mentions something planned, it says so.

Waitlist form, required fields. When you join the waitlist we collect your email address, your role or industry, one to three things you want AI help with, your preferred way of receiving Praxday, and your consent to be contacted.

Waitlist form, optional fields. You may also give a preferred name, your AI experience level, how often you would like a brief, and short free-text notes if you choose “Other” for your role or goals. Those notes are meant for general preferences only.

Where you came from. If you reach the site from a link that carries a campaign tag (for example a LinkedIn post), we record that tag, such as “linkedin”, with your sign-up so we know which channels people find us through. We record the tag only, not your activity on the other platform.

Records created by our systems. When you submit the form we also store the date and time, the version of this policy you consented to, your waitlist status (waiting, invited, testing, declined or removed), the source (“website”) and an internal record ID.

Technical logs. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to build profiles of visitors.

We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, gender, income, employer name, home address, precise location, payment details or any sensitive information. The website has no user accounts and takes no payments.

We use the information above only to:

• Run the beta waitlist and invite people in small groups.
• Contact you about beta access and product updates, as you agreed on the form.
• Understand which roles, goals and delivery preferences are most common, so we build the right thing first.
• Learn which channels bring visitors, using the campaign tag.
• Prevent abuse of the form and protect the website.
• Keep a record of your consent.
• Meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

The waitlist form asks you to tick an unticked box agreeing that Praxday may use your information to contact you about beta access and product updates. We never pre-tick it, and we record the date, time and policy version each time you consent. This is express consent under PIPEDA, Law 25 and CASL.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by writing to privacy@praxday.com. We will stop contacting you within ten business days. Withdrawing consent does not undo anything we did lawfully before, and we may keep a minimal record that you withdrew so that we respect it.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a beta invitation or a date. While you are on the list we may email you about beta access, what we are building, and how to get started when your invitation arrives. We keep it occasional.

Every email we send will:

• Say clearly that it comes from Praxday and give a way to contact us.
• Include an unsubscribe link that works with one click and takes effect within ten business days.
• Be sent only to people who consented on the form, or who asked us a question.

Email delivery of the daily brief itself is planned for later. If we launch it, we will ask separately before adding you to it, and this policy will be updated first.

We use PostHog (US Cloud) to understand how the website is used: pages viewed, which sections people open, whether the waitlist form was started and completed, page speed, and the campaign tag in the link. This helps us improve the site.

Our analytics are set up to be as private as we can make them:

• No cookies and no browser storage. The random visitor identifier exists only in memory for the duration of your visit and is discarded when you leave. We cannot recognise you when you come back.
• No session recordings, heatmaps, click tracking or form-field capture.
• No personal information is sent to analytics: not your email, name, free-text answers or anything you type into the form.
• No advertising or cross-site trackers of any kind.

Because the site sets no analytics cookies and stores nothing on your device, we do not show a cookie banner. Our hosting platform may use strictly necessary technical storage to serve the site securely. If you would rather not be counted at all, most browsers and content blockers can block requests to PostHog, and the site works normally without it.

We use a small number of companies to run the website. They process information only on our instructions and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

• Supabase stores the waitlist database. Writes happen through our server; the browser never has direct access to the database.
• Vercel hosts and serves the website and runs the server code that saves your sign-up.
• PostHog provides the analytics described above.
• Namecheap provides our domain and the @praxday.com mailbox that receives your replies.
• Resend delivers the emails we send you, such as your welcome email and beta invitation. It receives your email address, your name if you gave one, and the content of the message.

We will not share your information with any other third party unless the law requires it or you ask us to.

Praxday is based in Ontario, Canada. Our service providers store and process information on servers in the United States, and may use other regions for backups. That means your information may be subject to the laws of those countries, including access by their authorities under lawful process. We choose providers with strong security practices and contractual commitments, and we keep the amount of information we collect to a minimum.

• Waitlist records: while the beta program runs and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, after which we delete or anonymise them.
• Unsubscribe and withdrawal records: kept so that we keep honouring your choice.
• Analytics events: anonymous and kept for up to 12 months.
• Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, typically days to weeks.

You can ask us to delete your waitlist record sooner at any time (see section 10). We may keep information longer if a law or a dispute requires it.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
• Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
• Delete your information or remove you from the waitlist.
• Stop contacting you.
• Explain how we handle personal information.

Email privacy@praxday.com from the address you signed up with, or tell us that address, so we can find your record. We answer within 30 days and never charge for a request. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, to the Commission d’accès à l’information. If you are in a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law, you have at least the rights listed above; residents of those states can also appeal a refused request by replying to our decision.

We protect waitlist information with measures appropriate to its sensitivity, including:

• All traffic to the website and database is encrypted in transit.
• The browser never writes to the database; our server does, after validating the input.
• The database allows no public access, and its credentials are kept only on the server.
• Rate limits and a hidden anti-bot field protect the form from abuse.
• Access to the database and hosting accounts is limited to the founder.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take these measures seriously and review them.

If we learn of a security incident that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the relevant privacy regulator as the law requires, as soon as we reasonably can, and we will keep a record of the incident.

Please do not put confidential company, client, employee, financial, health or legal information into the waitlist form. The free-text fields are for general preferences only. Praxday’s briefs also remind readers to keep confidential data out of AI tools unless their employer allows it.

Praxday is for working professionals aged 18 or older, and the waitlist asks you to confirm your age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us their information, email privacy@praxday.com and we will delete it.

We will update this policy when our practices change, for example when email delivery of the brief launches or we add a provider. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and for significant changes we will tell waitlist members by email before the change takes effect. Earlier versions are available on request.
